The Cast of Characters

In trying to get a general overview of the main actors in the book of Judges, here is what we have:

I am sure that we will encounter more characters of interest and variety. For now, this is a good list of people that will need to be accounted for in the study.

The Goal

The goal of this blog is to pull apart books of the Bible to the best of my ability, predominantly using only online resources and the recesses of my brain. I desire to spend a full semester dissecting a book. En lieu of the blog title, I plan on beginning with the book of Judges. I always found this book to be fascinating, both because of the intersection of many famous (infamous) Biblical characters, as well as the transitional state that God's people found themselves in during this time in history.

I have never done any sort of previous study on this book, so everything I delve into will be more or less a first look. Which is not to say that I've never read Judges before, just never to this degree or comprehensiveness.

So with that in mind, let us begin.
